San Onofre Bluffs Campground is one of the most amazing untouched parks/beaches you’ll go to in Southern California. No cell reception forces you to unplug while you’re there and allow you to truly take everything in. It actually felt good to be off the grid for awhile and focus on the family and not be distracted.

Romantic staycation in Laguna Beach, CA.

There’s so many hidden gems in Laguna beach. My husband organized a staycation at the Pacific Edge Hotel for our Wedding Anniversary in November. How nice it was to get away for the few days just the two of us. The hotel is situated on the beachfront and the view is breathtaking. I could sit on the balcony all day and watch the waves.

    Side by side view of all 3 potion bottles, Beetle Juice, Love Potion, Spider Venom. The Bottles have gauze, kitchen towel, and mod podge to create texture. 2 of them have drips made out of mod podge and baking soda. All 3 have lots of texture that is dry brushed gold and silver. They all have a polymer clay tag that’s attached to a chain that’s reads the name of the potion.

Teach your kids that they can DIY too! Did you know that @HomeDepot has these amazing build kits available for your kids the 1st Saturday or every month? And they’re free!! You can either build it there or you can take it home. The kit comes with a easy instructions, a neat certificate for the project they’ve just built, and a project pin they can add to their DIY Home Depot apron. The quality of each project has been amazing. This isn’t a sponsored post but wanted to share this awesome experience Home Depot gives. I think it’s great for the kids to get involved and build something they end up playing with for hours. I’ve been pretty quiet on IG lately… but for a good reason. Other than spending some quality time with the kiddos before they go back to school next week I’ve been cooking up some new designs. UPDATE EDIT: it’s been brought to my attention that ceviche is made with raw fish. In which case this is not ‘ceviche’ - even tho it tastes like it and I was just recreating what I tasted. But hey, let’s not upset the internet ❤️ this is ‘shrimp salad’. For those who would like the taste of ceviche but don’t want the raw fish…this is the recipe for you. My friend’s mom made the best ‘SHRIMP SALAD’ I’ve ever tasted but I never got the recipe so I did my best to recreate it and I think I got it pretty close. It’s so good I wanted to share it with you guys. Sauté 2 big cloves of garlic in 2tbsp of butter Add 16oz of frozen uncooked shrimp and cook (I got my pack from Trader Joe’s) Dice: 4 Roma tomatoes (I take out the seeds and soft pulp) 1 whole English cucumber (they’re the most crisp) 1/4 red onion Also dice and add: Cooked Shrimp One whole avocado Add in a big handful of chopped cilantro. The colander trick is a life saver. Check out my reel a few months back for more details on the hack. Add: Juice 1 lime Juice 2 lemons salt to taste a little sauce from the pan you cooked the shrimp in. Probably about 1tbsp. Mix together and enjoy with chips or just as a salad. OH. SO. We needed a vertical surfboard rack so I made one… I love how minimal it is on the wall. You hardly know the rack is there. He loves it so much that we are making more and playing around with the design. So stay tuned for more. We used to live in San Clemente and my hubby used to surf everyday, few times a day. Then the kiddos came along and we moved and he doesn’t seem to get out in the water as often. I know how much he loves it and it would do him the world of good to grab the board and go. So I’m hoping, by seeing the board on the wall, it makes that happen and gives him a well deserved break. It’s also a nice feature in his office. It goes really well with the oceanscape epoxy desk and ocean artwork I have on the wall that turns into a table. So with the surfboard on the wall, this room is finally complete. I just have to style the shelves above his desk and we’ll move on to the next project that will take me another gazillion years to finish haha. Jk 😆 Fun & functional stuff to come. It’s finally happened…. I freehand drew all my Halloween silhouettes straight onto the wood but so many of you guys wanted to make them yourselves. After months of working on shifting them into digital format, I have created the templates for you guys. They are all up in the store!!! My 5yr olds reaction was PRICELESS!! I love my kids reactions to my projects and their eagerness to learn and build things. 💜💙 I’m so very happy and proud of how this turned out. It looks beautiful, it’s solid, and it works!! It’s such a space saver too. I think we will be using it a lot. So would you make this? If so, the instructional PDF is in my Etsy. Link in bio. I originally ordered 40lbs catch hold latches but they were taking too long to get here and my lack of patience got the best of me. So I bought these heavy duty magnetic latches from Home Depot for a little over $2. They have a catch hold of 11lbs each so I installed them to see how they would hold in the meantime. They work great but they’re plastic. The other ones are metal and have a higher catch hold. So I will probably change them out. #diyhomeprojects #diydesk #officedesk #artworkfeatures #diyframe #functionalart #functionalartwork #collapsible #foldingtable #standingdesk

Crisis averted! 🌟I detached the frame 🌟Cut it at 37inches so it’ll be counter height when the table it up. 🌟Reattached the hinges 🌟Used spacers under the frame to create the gap to match the gap on the top where the hinges are. 🌟Secured the bottom of the frame down with heavy duty double sided tape so I can remove it when I want to change out the artwork. 🌟Then hung the artwork on the wall with hinges so it can fold down into a table. Don’t let perfect content on social media fool you… DIY Projects have their ups and downs. It wouldn’t be DIY without fails! I’ve got so many messages reaching out saying how grateful they are that I showed my mistake. That often times things are portrayed so perfect and effortless on social media it’s very hard to relate to. Let me tell you… Behind every perfect square you see, or perfect edited reel, there’s a room filled with junk thats been cleared out for the shot. When you see a Timelapse know it’s not quick. Sometimes projects take months to complete because life happens. Know that content creators are human like you. We are not perfect. We make mistakes. We fail. We have a Monica’s closet or two of junk piled up. In my case a garage. Whatever I can do, you can do too. And if you fail or make mistakes, just try again. My 5yr olds reaction was PRICELESS!! I love my kids reactions to my projects and their eagerness to learn and build things. 💜💙 I’m so very happy and proud of how this turned out. It looks beautiful, it’s solid, and it works!! It’s such a space saver too. I think we will be using it a lot. So would you make this? If so, the instructional PDF is in my Etsy. Link in bio. I originally ordered 40lbs catch hold latches but they were taking too long to get here and my lack of patience got the best of me. So I bought these heavy duty magnetic latches from Home Depot for a little over $2. They have a catch hold of 11lbs each so I installed them to see how they would hold in the meantime. They work great but they’re plastic. The other ones are metal and have a higher catch hold. Crisis averted! 🌟I detached the frame 🌟Cut it at 37inches so it’ll be counter height when the table it up. 🌟Reattached the hinges 🌟Used spacers under the frame to create the gap to match the gap on the top where the hinges are. 🌟Secured the bottom of the frame down with heavy duty double sided tape so I can remove it when I want to change out the artwork. 🌟Then hung the artwork on the wall with hinges so it can fold down into a table. I’ll be attaching two magnetic latches on either side of the frame to hold it up when the table isn’t in use. So follow to see more. Don’t let perfect content on social media fool you… DIY Projects have their ups and downs. It wouldn’t be DIY without fails! I’ve got so many messages reaching out saying how grateful they are that I showed my mistake. That often times things are portrayed so perfect and effortless on social media it’s very hard to relate to. Let me tell you… Behind every perfect square you see, or perfect edited reel, there’s a room filled with junk thats been cleared out for the shot. When you see a Timelapse know it’s not quick. Sometimes projects take months to complete because life happens. Know that content creators are human like you. We are not perfect. We make mistakes. We fail. We have a Monica’s closet or two of junk piled up. In my case a garage. Whatever I can do, you can do too. And if you fail or make mistakes, just try again.
