This is such a fun project to do with the kiddos and a cute addition to your Valentine’s Day decor. My kiddos loved it!

I decided to do something a lil different with this template and offer the color key and lines to paint detail to the silhouette, almost like color by numbers. You can customize the colors to fit in with your decor.

Best decision I’ve ever made was to build the storage unit for the silhouettes and the cabinets and shelves for my tools. It has kept things neat and tidy. I know exactly where everything is. It’s actually pleasant cleaning up bcos everything has its place. It looks and feels good too.

Before this build, the silhouettes were minimally stored up against a wall behind some shelves. Now that we have so many, they’re stored in this versatile unit.
I wish I had built it sooner to store my strollers and kiddos ride on toys. It’s made up of a giant French cleat door that doubles up as more storage. By hanging hooks and cubbies on the door you can store a few extra things. I’ve only ever hung the scooters and helmets on it - Hopefully will add more to it this year when I arrange the rest of garage. 🤞🏼

Christmas is feeling and these decorations definitely make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

We had a witch fly thru the moon for Halloween and now we have Santa’s sleigh flying thru it for Christmas. It’s so magical. We absolutely love how it’s working out for the holidays. What do you think?

Trader Joe’s holiday shopping bags are back!!! Last year I made these cute gingerbread houses with them. All you gotta do is glue them onto wood or poster board, cut them out, and decorate them. You can create a whole gingerbread village for your mantle.

A common question I get is how do I install the silhouettes onto my house: each silhouette has a spacer and on the spacer is a keyhole plate which fits over a single screw in the trim of my house.

Super easy to line up. I just use my kiddos paint to mark the wood and then press the tree’s support stud onto the painted part so I know where to attach it.

Each spacer and support stud is labeled and used the same way each year for the same silhouette.

Year after year, all you gotta do is attach the support stud to the two halves of the tree, then it’s spacer in the same screw holes as before, and then hang it onto its screw on the house. Super simple and affective.

The village display is one of my favorites! You can put it anywhere. You don’t have to display it in front of the garage. The base supports and holds it up, and the mountains act as a backdrop for the light to bounce light from.
You can customize the width by making it a shorter or longer display - just remove or add segments of the template till you have your desired display.
