We have a family cabin in Lake Arrowhead and they have some amazing thrift stores around town. When we go up the mountain, I like to go hunting for treasures. When I saw this beautiful French Provincial Nightstand, I had to have it. The style had such charm and would be perfect for my daughter’s room update. It needed some TLC tho.
There’s one thing I loathe more than anything about a project and that is sanding. Most often it’s hard to avoid, and you probably shouldn’t avoid it if you want the piece to have longevity. BUT, not with chalk paint!! Chalk paint is well known for the lack of prep work you need to do before painting. So naturally, I gravitated toward it.
Laundry has never been my favorite thing to do. I either keep putting it off until I have laundry up to my eyeballs. Or I put a load in and forget about it, only to find it the following day, in which I proceed to wash it all over again. However, I do equip everyone in the house with at least 2 weeks of underpants, so if life gets a lil crazy we have clean drawers. đ
